I just overclocked my intel i5 760

Thread Starter
I just overclocked my intel Core i5 760
to 3403.85 mhz
162 as my baseclock and multiplier of 21(since i cant change this)

I have turboboost disabled, but my voltage is still set to auto so does anyone know what voltage i should set it to? since i dont want it to overvolt on me or undervolt. Also virtualization speed step etc? I have them all on, so is there anything i should disable?

My idle temps are between 44-47 and my load temps after 15 mins of prime is 69-71. Im fairly new to overclocking, (first time i touched the bios on my new mobo ^_^)

Thanks a bundle!

I'm in the process of overclocking my i5-760 and have been following this guide step-by-step.

Its very good and very easy to follow!

My recommendation would be to reset to optimised defaults and start at step one in the guide.

Good luck!

I followed the guide but I have no idea what to set my Vcore to since I have two Vcore settings, one is bootup vcore and the other is after a memory test or something so does anyone have an idea what i should set my vcore as?

Also, should my VTT by at 1.2V? or is it better at 1.15?

Thanks in advance!

dygital your volt is up to you, start it off with your cpu at stock speed, then google or have a look on your box to see what your stock volt is.

Then increase the overclock until your cpu becomes unstable, after that its just a process of increasing overclock followed by volt.

also disable c1e, speedstep, keep virtualization on i believe.

Set the startup and eventual voltages to the same value. What that should be will depend on your individual hardware when overclocked.
