Air cooling is just fine for the 2500k @ 5ghz, you'll be at around 70 c max load

That depends on his chip and how much vcore it needs.

+1, For most chips it isn't practical to run 5+ghz 24/7 on air. 4.6-4.8ghz is much safer in the long run, and uses less voltage .

Depends a lot on your airflow and ambient temp.

I can put 1.5v through mine and hit 91°c on the hottest core.
This is with a 23°c room temp.

This.

I had the DH-14 on my 2600k pushing 5ghz @ 1.47, shared temps with my 2 6950s and cpu hit 90Cs with the gpus loaded. Moved to watercooling with the rad intaking from outside and runs flawless <50C

You are good. You should be around 60-70 C with that heatsink, which is fine for 2500k. Also depends on your chip and how much voltage you have to use to get it there.

Well from my experience....

I hit 5Ghz @ 1.435v, when I was using A CM V6 GT I would get about 72-73 c on the hottest core.
