2 x Vertex 2 (Raid 0) or Vertex 3 ?

Which drive would you recommend for faster boot times/load times etc (Performance) ?

2 x OCZ Vertex 2 Extended Sandforce 60GB (RAID 0 Config)= ($110*2) $220

or

OCZ Vertex 3 120GB - $290

from what i can see
Vertex 2 :
•Max Read: up to 285MB/s
•Max Write: up to 275MB/s
•Sustained Write: up to 250MB/s
•Random Write 4KB (Aligned): 50,000 IOPS

Vertex 3:

* Utilized MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory
* SATA 6.0 Gbps interface
* Up to 60,000 IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) in 4k random write
* Read and write speeds of up to 550 MB/s and 500 MB/s, respectively
* 2.5-inch form factor
* Designed for standard desktop PC (OCZ Vertex 3)
* Pack SandForce SF-2200 controller (OCZ Vertex 3)
* 120GB and 240GB storage capacities (OCZ Vertex 3)

Vertex 3 < Vertex 2 raid 0
550 MB < 570 MB (Raid 0) ??

Thanks!

the vertex in 2x raid 0 will probably cap out the controller at 650mb/s (around there) unless they have a newer driver.

also the vertex 3 is a huge jump. im planning on waiting for it for a laptop where u cant raid...

given that your board supports SATA 6gb/s then the 2x Vertex 2`s would give you the best performance, a friend of mine had these drives and he got a 500mb/s sustained write speed, just remember that Raid 0 can be risky, if you get a error in one drive then itll take our your whole OS and 80% of the time you cant recover it. if you got the 2 Vertex drives for Raid 0 id have a normal harddrive for backing up
