[MSFT] IE9 Official Release! - Page 5

There are a lot of haters. It's Microsoft so it has to be bad . . . Anyways, I alternate between Chrome and IE. Most the time I'll have windows open from both, why I don't know ! I'm not a Fox fan however ... Like anything it's all personal preference.

However, IE9 does seem pretty quick, and I know I don't crash every other minute like I did with 8. . . So overall it's pretty nice. So people who aren't computer literate and don't know about other alternatives will have something that isn't horrendous.

Even better, and now to the latest Chromium snapshot! IE9 looks nice though.

I would but I found Ubuntu as an alternative for everything. As for games i play mostly older games and emulators so xp is perfect.

I see they ceased windows live 2011 support for xp too.

Whenever i use IE I use Avant browser. It makes IE much better and operational overall.

Compatibility. It's not easy to evolve technology, and still maintain compatibly with older software. And Microsoft knows that better that anyone else.

As a developer I'm happy. IE9 supports CSS border radius (among other CSS 3 things), so I can officially stop using image 'hacks'. (I haven't bothered with image borders in years anyway, I just let IE users have right angles while the better browsers had curves)

Edit:
How long before this is pushed to Windows Update, so the zombie masses have it?

Since it forces explorer and other applications that uses the svchost/explorer tree to close it will fall under optimal updates.
