I Definitely Need Some Assistance - Page 2

Yea I saw that, but the RV03 (nor the RV02) doesn't sport any of the sleek, unique designs that the RV01 incorporated, so I'm really not all that interested.

The only thing keeping me weary of the RV01 is that it's plastic, and the water cooling solution has to be mounted on the back (I don't think the cover can go over it?).

Just out of curiosity have you looked into the 800D. Just an all around superior case IMO. Not too futuristic looking but a beast, elegant and clean looking, tons of room, cable management and contrary to the popular belief not as bad on air cooling as everyone says.

Lol i think your a bit screwed for water cooling, your only option would be to mount it on the back. And yeah no way that cover will be going over the radiator and fans.

I just saw this in another thread (thank you Robilar!), and was impressed: Bitfenix Colossus, with side panel. Comes in silver (or chrome or whatever) and black:

http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/pr...lossus-window/

The sidepanel model, which is relatively new, has options for two side fans, which should help cooling. Already has room for big fans on front/top/bottom. $155. Also comes with green lights (Venom). I'm pretty sure you can get a black case w/ blue lights, or silver w/red; sounds like you can switch between case light colors with the press of a button.

I don't work for Bitfenix! I just think it's a great-looking case, not too flashy, with good cooling. Sort of wish I'd seen it before I ordered my CM 690 II (which is great, for the $$$).

Oh, I mentioned at the bottom of my first post that I was aware of the 800D. Engineering-wise its a very well done, capable case. Though aesthetically it's really not what I'm looking for.. too much bulk, not enough sleek.

Definitely a step in the right direction, it's quite unique & clean but the stripes kind of throw me off, I feel as though there could've been better design with the LEDs. That, and it's a bit bulky in comparison to the RV01, which incorporates this stealth-bomber look. (Though I hate that it's plastic >.<)

Just for some design perspective, if I could buy just the case alone of the Alienware Area-51 ATX, I would.

Quite sexy

..Though I absolutely HATED the previous design with a passion.

I guess I prefer the more aggressive edgy/polygon-filled look. Lamborghini Reventon, B-2 Bomber, etc..

Design Example:

There is a limited edition white RV-02 on Newegg right now...looks...

look at this...

Granted the 700/800D's aren't the sleekest, but when it comes to sheer capacity, they're pretty much without equal...until you move on to CaseLabs/Mountain Mods behemoths.

Aesthetically, I only like the top of the case. Apart from that and the LED light up front, its very boxy & bland =/

although i hate plastic on cases too, it might be for the best, if it were all metal you might need a crane if you ever want to move it around
