[Various] GTX 550 Ti Reviews - Page 5

I'll go ahead and leave this on its own as I anticipated 560/550 releases but did not intend to merge their reviews into the 570/580 thread. If anyone thinks I should, go ahead and let me know.

Seems to be under the GTX branding so it could make sense, but since the 590 will be coming soon, the thread may be flooded with reviews and people may get confused?... Or you can put this in that thread and have a seperate one for the GTX 590. Up to you.

Yeah, no. Not even close.

What is the point of this card? The GTX 580 was top of the line, the GTX 570 competes with the GTX 480, The GTX 560 ti competes with the GTX 470, the GTX 550 ti competes with a HD 5770 and gets blown away by the GTX 460 768mb and the 460 is cheaper? Not good Nvidia.

Does anyone have one or are we just going to compare it to cards that we already know are better? I guess I'll have to go Hwbot this one to death

What's up with all that hate?! Just got mine (evga GTX 550 ti 1GB) and and super happy with it considering the price ($129). It runs incredibly cool (27 idle and 61 under 100% load from Crysis 2).

Sure 460 GTX (non SE) are better, but they will set you back by $50 or $75...

On par with a 460 SE and 10% slower than a 460 non-SE. Who knows!? Next driver release could make this slightly newer achitecture run on par with a 460 non-SE... For nearly 2/3 the price of a GTX 460.
