For his gtx 580. Can he do this?
If you got a 9800gtx2 (the dual gpu core card) and used it as a physx card would given it is a single card with two graphics processors would it use both cores for physx or just one core?
Can you run sli and crossfire at the same time using the same board aslong as your board is a x58 or something that supports both ati crossfire and nvidia sli?
1. Only one of the two 9800GTs will be used to do Physx.
2. Only one of the two cores of the 9800GX2 will be used to do Physx.
Take a look at the chart below for all possible combination between SLi and Physx.
3. If you have a X58 mobo with four PCIEx16 slots, I suspect you can run two AMD cards in CF (as the main cards) and then 2 Nvidia cards in SLI (for Physx). But only one of the 2 Nvidia cards will be used for Physx, even if the pair works properly with hacked driver.Edited by windfire - 3/15/11 at 7:20am
