I still think it's awesome that AMD continues to make sockets relevant for as long as possible. I simply remembered hearing that and thought I would mention. Maybe to keep someone from buying a board now just for Bulldozer later.

Yea that's one of the things that makes AMD awesome.

Intel makes a new socket for every new CPU types theyve got, while AMD are being heroes at this part.

I hope BD will be as good as we all hope.

It would certainly be refreshing to see competition like we have in the graphics market.

Well Nvidia isn't really Intel now but I get your point if you mean that AMD and Intel would compete like AMD/ATI and Nvidia.

That would be sweet if I could hold on to my AM3 Gigabyte board and drop in a BD.

That was kind of the plan.

My board didn't make the list but I'm sure it will. Great little board so far I've had 0 issues with a 4.0Ghz 965 in it.

This is awesome news but I am wondering how this is possible since BD is said to have an extra pin. Like someone said maybe they will be changing the pin count????
