Unlocked Athlon x3 reverted to tricore - Page 2

As long as you are using that cheap motherboard, I'd rather keep it to a TriCore for safety. Especially with a Hyper 212+ installed.

Well volts never went above 1.5 and temps barely hit 50 during prime 95, but I locked it up because I didnt want to deal with it anyways.

But you think a 3.6Ghz overclock is fine for the motherboard as long as it runs under 1.5v and under max temp?

that voltage and temp is fine for the cpu, its the mosfets on the board that can catch on fire

run hwmonitor, then start prime95 and watch what the core voltage max/min
if it drops alot thats a sign that they arent able to keep up with it

When i run without cool n quiet the vcore idles at 1.47 and will go up to 1.49 maybe 1.5 under stress

obviously with cool n quiet it idles lower, 1.2, but I have it off right now, hope that doesnt cause any problems

Idle temps around 30C depending on time of day, load temps are <50C
