rev3.0 has AM3 and no where does Gigabyte say that rev3.0 will support BD.
Instead of spreading bs and confusing everyone with this crap, just wait for an official word from AMD.
Its not confusing if you are following along from the beginning.
Asus has a BIOS update that makes Bulldozer possible on a limited number of boards. Mostly their high dollar platforms. Starting at the M4A89GTD series and up to the Crosshair IV Extreme.
Apparently MSi has a BIOS update as well. Not sure since I don't go there except for Afterburner. I probably should check but we have MSi in the house so I let them speak up for themselves.
Gigabyte however to my knowledge only has the AM3 board that doesn't support Bulldozer. However not to be outdone they put out the word that their AM3+ boards will be out shortly.
How did that guy muddy anything that wasn't already muddy? Yeah some of his info is off but that happens. Nobody but you is perfect it seems.
JF-AMD already put the word out that AMD has not changed their stance to his knowledge. That they do not support Bulldozer on an AM3 platform. So what more is to be said there? It's not up to AMD anyway. It's up to the manufacturers who make the boards that run the AMD chips. AMD has some say here sure but they don't want to get into a custody battle with the vendors. If you run BD in an AM3 board whose vendor supports it, I'd bet that AMD would
honor the warranty should their CPU fail as a result. It makes no sense for them to be confrontational. The vendors could just walk away and leave AMD floundering like a fish out of water if they did.
