Well unfortunately, I have to agree with him, the GTX 275 SOMEHOW, is outperforming my card also, one of my friends has a GTX 295, games seem so much more responsive, there's no input lag, none of that feeling where you don't know where you are in the game! I don't know how to explain it... It's not the FPS... it's something else....

For instance, Black Ops on my PC seems infinitely worse than the PS3 in terms of "smoothness"... I just don't get it...

Does one of your friends have another 470 you could borrow for a test?
If so you could try this http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/6708...rd-gtx5xx.html.
If not overclock your single card higher it is safe up to 1.087 and you can overvolt past that pretty safe if you have a aftermarket cooler.

Anything over 987mV causes Crysis Warhead to lock up and show artefacts. After about 30minutes gameplay.

I do occasionally whack my card up to 800mhz to play Rift: Planes of Telara, but I only get 26 fps... still... peaks at 40 fps with supersampling.

Unfortunately no, and another card would not fit on my motherboard with my cooler. It's just too large. And to be honest, not doing that great at the moment...

between 46-48 degrees idle at 1050mV, 750MHz!

Then look for a better cooling solution for your card or replace it with a 580 ><

Well, I doubt it'd make that much of a difference, I've already spent too much! That's why I'm tempted to sell it and be done with it. My motherboard supports Hybrid Crossfire, so a 6950 flashed to a 70 would work wonders according to benchmarks/reviews.

Also, a GTX 580 is far too expensive, I'm talking around the £200-250 mark. £300 MAX, but that's only if it really is worth it.

I may just wait... and it would seem my computer is heating up, ahhh, I've spent so much on cooling/case and it's done NOTHING.

GPU idle: 49C
CPU idle: 48C
Temp1: 44C
Temp2: 32C
Temp3: -128C <<<(lies)

SpeedFan blows.

If you are getting worse performance with a gtx 470 than a gtx 450/460/465 gets then you are doing it wrong.
