LOL

Even Baraka would be afraid to cut himself with that card...

Lol.. doubling the memory has almost no effect on heat whatsoever, so why the massive amount of slots? Such a fail.

However, the cooling system isn't as frugal as the PCB when it comes to the space occupied inside the case as the Arctic Cooling solution employed by Yeston spans over almost three PCI slots.
please read the article instead of making assumptions.

Come on, now..... a 3-slot card refers to a card which takes the *physical space* of 3 slots (as in, you could not physically cram another card in the two adjacent slots). I mean, if you'd like to allow 6 slots for "breathing room" with cooling a single-slot card, so be it - but it doesn't make it a 6-slot card. It's still a single-slot card.

Soilentblue's suggestion to "read the article" is always a good one (to avoid obvious misstatements). If you indeed did read the article, then I hope I've explained it a little better for you.

I agree its not too much of an issue with an 8800GS but with a 570, you may want to be a bit more protective, due to it being worth more currently. That one time you have to hit your brakes for something or have to steer violently, that could be bye bye video card.

When a card takes over three slots I would call it a four slot card, since you wont be able to get a card in that third slot. After that the fans will need at least a slot to suck in air, if you sit the fans right next to a PCB you will end up with a cooked 570.

If I had said "Wow that looks like a 6 slot cooler!" then yes reading the article might be a good idea but I didn't. It should have been obvious that I had read the article because I knew how many screws held the cooler on and that was not stated anywhere else.

Also when someone says something like "please read the article instead of making assumptions." it automatically makes me think they're probably not worth replying too and most lightly, a complete Moron. It starts off with bad grammar that we're taught before the age of 10. Then when they say claim that I am just "making assumptions" it really annoys me.

I've noticed its often Americans, not always but often. They see something that someone has said and makes someone else feel a little dumb and repeat it, often constantly. Shame really, such a waste of time.

You shouldn't have exaggerated with how many slots were taken up. Don't be so hurt by me asking you to read the article. I wasn't being hurtful. I took from your tone that you didn't read the article carefully. You do make mistakes like everyone else(me included).

Alot of times it's an overexaggeration that will lead to alot of people who don't read the articles merely taking what they see in a post instead and going off of that. I never meant to convey that you were dumb by what I said.

p.s. It is "likely", not "lightly". I would hate for you to start off with bad grammer you were taught before the age of 10.

back on topic please.

i'm surprised so many people find this thing disturbingly grotesque. I just see a good opportunity to run multiple monitors.
