It depends on what version of the q6600 you have. The G0 or the B3 revision.
Look for TCASE. That shows the recommended max temp.
these give tcase values and not tjmax. tcase is different to tjmax.
the tjmax for a G0 revision Q6600 is 100
the tjmax for a B3 revision Q6600 is 90
also when running realtemp you will notice DISTANCE to tjmax.
so it really doesnt make a differnce what your tjmax is as the DISTANCE to tjmax remains the same at either 90 or 100, try it and see.
also try to not let it go less than 20
once when running intel burn test, i had just changed my TIM, and i must of not fitted it right.
my temps hit 80.C and my pc restarted,
so the chip has a built in safety feature
