Corsair VX550 vs CX600

Thread Starter
I've just began upgrading my rig to the specs in sig, and have the opportunity to choose between these two psu’s. My old parts going to my parents machine so they are buying a new PSU and case to accommodate them. So i can keep the PSU I'm using now or grab the CX 600 for next to nothing.

I'm just a bit unsure about what's best considering the price of the CX 600 is £52 and classed as a system builders series compared to the VX 550 which i spent £65 on two years ago but is considered the enthusiast range. Which one do you think is the better choice where quality is concerned for the parts I am using.

Thanks M00NIE

The 550 should be enough, but I would go with the 600watt.

Also is it just me or have the price of PSU's gone up in the past two years or so? I remember paying under 100$ for my 800watt gigabyte.

Do you have any others to choose from?

The cx600 isn't anything special, at all.

The CX600 would be a small downgrade. Don't bother.

yeah the 550 is better then the average 600

but if you wanna upgrade consider the xfx 650 pro wich is basically identical internally to the tx650 v2
