Second Build: Really Expensive Nightlight

Thread Starter
Just thought I'd make a thread to show my second rig. I'm going to do my absolute best to make this rig perfect. I made a lot of mistakes with my first AMD rig, didn't really get nice parts because I was too excited. I ended up building a mediocre computer, and not only one month later there was better hardware for even less than I paid because of sales.

I already purchased all of the parts, waited and used sales to my advantage. I'm just going to use this thread to show pictures of the parts, and when it's finally complete. Stuff like that.

The upgrade:
i7-2600k
Asus P8P67 Pro
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB 1600
Corsair H70 (Just ordered today, rush processing)

Pictures of the parts so far:

Yes, those are my bedsheets. I happen to like the way they look, okay?

Corsair H70

Thanks for looking

Thanks, man. And yes, that's definitely true. I ordered the Corsair H70 earlier, it's already out for delivery from my local UPS. Hopefully it arrives today so I can start building.

Everything is all together and finished, woke up and it was 7 hours stable @ 4.5ghz in Prime95, max temp it hit was recorded at 70c. I'm going to try and keep going until I hit 75c.

So far this chip has been AWESOME.

I haven't even tried any games or anything yet. I'll take pictures of my rig later, I'm quite embarrassed at its cable management currently

Well, it's fully finished, as of now. I've taken pictures, the cable management is really bad because I'm running really expensive hardware in a "budget" Lian Li, plus a non-modular PSU. So I had to throw all the wires in one place.

Aside from the yucky cable management, I think I did a really good job

I've gotten the 2600k to 4.5ghz at 1.26v. Idle temps with my cooler are anywhere from 29-31c. Load temps never get any higher than 45c, however... during P95 Blend it hits 70c on the money. So I think I've found my point until I get a better case.

Might want to check your motherboard manual ..but the RAM config looks a little off.. I believe you populate slots with the same colours first (that would be 1 and 3).
Other than that, nice build!
