Can a 5870 handle dual 30" monitors?

I notice on the AMD site that the 5870 can handle a maximum of 2560x1600 resolution. Since 30" monitors are 2560x1600 resolution, does that mean the 5870 can only handle a single 30" monitor?

The 2560x1600 is pr output, not what it combined can handle

This.
Although, if memory serves me, only 1 of the DVI ports on the 5870 is Dual-Link and the other is Single-Link. AFAIK Single-Link doesn't support 2560x1600.

Ok, I had a feeling it was per output but was not completely sure. Thanks for the help. BTW, I downloaded the 5870 manual and found out it has dual DL-DVI ports.

Ah, you could have 3 30" monitors on a single 5870 card then.
Not sure if you are aware that if you use both of the DVI ports you can't use the HDMI port at the same time? Might not be an issue for you though, and certainly wont be if you only have 2 monitors.
