Vinyl is not bad for a loop. It is just more prone to kinks. Its suggested to have a coil inside or outside to prevent this from happening.

I don't have any tight bends in my loop. but I will definitely get the vinyl stuff, saves me from paying 10 dollars just on shipping from PPC

only difference is, it bends easier and it fogs up after about 2 weeks. the water will remain clear just not the tubing.

I run vinyl tubing that I get from the hardware store on mine. It usually averages about 3 to 6 months before the clouding becomes noticable, which then acts as a reminder to clean my loop. If your using compression fittings, just be sure that the inside and outside diameters are correct, otherwise the fittings will be hard to put together or won't stay together well.
