This is a perfect example of ignorance and misinformation.

HD6850 is in the same price range of the GTX 460 1GB (probably cheaper, even), and outperforms it. Also has a very good OC potential.

HD 6800 series (as well as the 6900 series) is an improvement on the HD 5700/5800 series on many levels, starting by better architecture (more efficiency with less shader cores) and mainly, much better tesselation than before.

HD 6850 or HD 6870 provide amazing performance at lower prices than nVdia.

HD 6850 is in most cases faster than the GTX 460 1GB.

HD 6870 is slightly faster than GTX 470, and about on par with the GTX 560 Ti.


I'm not saying this because I own one, but simply because the user above is completely idiotic by saying to ignore the HD 6800 series.

or

hd 6850 1gb +
8800gt for physx
