Asus SABERTOOTH P67 R3 P67 Socket 1155

Hey everyone,

Anyone have any experience with this motherboard? I was thinking of getting it and putting an i5 2500k and some Ripjaw ram, I am in the UK, so the price is crazy, here's the link:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/260646

I wonder if there is enough clearance for my VF3000F and another GTX 470. I was wondering if the fact that it being x8 dual would limit some performance, and the cards wouldn't scale so well?

Also, is it worth the money? Or should I go with something cheaper?

A friend of mine has offered to buy my system off me, as I am looking to get onto the intel bandwagon for obvious reasons.

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Also, what cooler would you suggest for that processor? I'm looking at either the noctua NHU12P or Corsair A70

It's a great board. So far, no issues, plus it over clocks well and stays cool.

For your GPU cooler, it won't fit if you want to do sli, but that's true with most MBs. As for the x16 vs x8 sli bandwidth, it's a nonissue. Performance is so close, and sometimes better with x8. In this article, x8 beat x16 2-1

For the cooler, the board is designed to be used with a CPU cooler that blows air at the MB, but I use an H50 and me temps are fine. If you go for the Corsair, just buy a 50mm fan to help cool the MB (I just ordered one - they're like $4 USD)

Also, I think the Sabertooth is definetely worth the money. Asus went for quality components on this one, so it should last a long time. Hope I helped.
