Asus warranty question

Thread Starter
Is asus one of the company's that allows overclocking of the video cards without voiding warranty?
Im wondering cause my card is taking a crap on me and its not even overclocked that far comp to others ive seen.
ss of what its doing recently

its at 775 core/stock memory at 1.025
any raise of the volts over that results in a black screen
Should i tell them this?Or just norm rma it without the overclocking /voltage raising/black screen knowledge
For helping rep will be given.
I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they allow overclocking unless its a overclocked card to begin with. Then again, I could be completely wrong..

sorta odd that it only does that to the web content and not the start bar or chrome menus

They allow it, and so does everyone else.

Besides, Asus won't even know the card has been overclocked since everything is done via software.

Well if you did mess your card up by ocing it when you RMA it dont say that you did. Just say, "Hi, I was playin WoW and my card just started having issues", and you should be good. I believe Asus is pretty good with RMA's.

Ya i was wondering cause it only does it a little at stocks clock but alot when overclocked, and i dont want them to send me back the same card. And if i raise the voltage past 1.025 it black screens. Sad thing is this is supposed to be the asus voltage tweak version LOL

What did u end up doing with this? I sorta just had the same thing happen, but it seems like its more a Chrome thing than the video card. It just happend on one tab so i closed it and reopend the page and had no problems.

maybe it's the video card because that'd be a very weird chrome stuff.

THIS IS A BUG IN CHROME not your video card! My Macbook, and my Netbook do the exact same thing when using chrome. It will most likely be fixed with updates
