The dirt2 benchmark shows an improvement from 25-30fps to 60-66fps with the 460, same max settings. And the 460 is forced to dx9.
The only things is, and maybe I need to pop the 260 back in... but I'm not really seeing a difference. I was going to screencap both cards, but when I run fraps to record, the fps drops from the 60's down to 40's. I am getting double the frame rate, guess I was just expecting it to be more drastic.
Unfortunately, that's the way this goes. :/ I had a very similar experience: I upgraded from a single GTX 260 (1792 MB, 55nm Core 216) to my "unlocked" GTX 470, and the differences aren't what I was expecting.
However, there are certain areas in Crysis where the differences are very obvious, such as the rice field (the several little ponds of what can look like mud). That area used to bring my 260 to its knees, but the 470 breezes right through it. It's still a bit tough for it, but it's way better - especially now that I am using the modified Quadro driver (version 267.05 for those who are interested). I mean, I am almost never distracted by any drop in performance in the rice field now whereas I used to get a bit angry with my 260 during that part of the game.
