I'm stable at 3808MHz with the following settings:

Base clock: 272MHz
Multiplier: 14
CPU clock: 272x14 = 3808MHz @ 1.4375V
CPU/NB: 2448MHz @ 1.35V
HT Link: 1904MT/s @ Auto (1.2V)
DRAM: 1451MHz @ 1.6V
LinX power: 320W

I'll run a long LinX test tonight.

Turns out 3DMark11's physics test is one of the fastest indicators of instability I've come across. Any clocks/volts that crashed the test also inevitably failed in LinX within 5-10 minutes. And anything stable in LinX for ~1 hour also passed the 3DMark11 physics and combined tests looped for at least 30 minutes.

TIL that increasing CPU/NB voltage is necessary as CPU clocks go up, even if you're keeping the CPU/NB frequency down by decreasing its multiplier.

Unfortunately, looks like 3808MHz crashed after 1h43m in LinX. 3780MHz it is.

My weak heart doesn't want to go over 1.45V CPU / 1.35V CPU/NB for 24/7 SETI@Home crunching so I'll be decreasing the clock speed one step at a time until it's perfectly stable.

I have managed to tighten the RAM timings, however, from 9-9-9-24-2T to 7-8-7-20-1T considering it's running at DDR3-1451 @ 1.65V instead of the rated DDR3-1600 @ 1.5V.

Meh...i wouldn't worry about it too much...once you take the chip to the maximum that is overclocking it does not matter if you only get 200mhz extra out of it...just run it all it can go...although i must say...1.45v, trust me i'm sure you can go higher, u have till 1.55v.

Why don't you want to go higher...what are the load temps like at 1.45v?

At 1.45V, running long, 6750MB LinX passes, I'm at 56C according to the motherboard and 46C on each core according to the CPU sensors. Problem is, if even 3.9GHz is not stable at 1.5V, I'm not sure 4GHz will ever be stable on this motherboard.

And yes, it may be because of the FSB. I tried lowering the CPU multiplier so I could use a higher RAM speed, but the computer refused to boot at the higher FSB even though the CPU speed was still 3.8GHz. Raising the NB voltage as suggested by nicksasa doesn't work either.

Sadly I can't raise the multiplier to decrease the FSB since this isn't a BE processor.

Try water cooling.

I might get water cooling too.
Could someone plz tell me how much GHz could I O.C my CPU? (1333MHZ FSB 4 m cache)

Try IBT for temps, I am geting 51c with the same cooler as you at stock voltage (1,325). I tried 4ghz at 1,4 and the temps went to 60 so I just toned it back down.

Watercooling is not what the op needs. He needs a new motherboard if he wants higher clocks. Read the thread first before posting these useless comments.

Don't be an *******. He has a pretty good mobo already so he does not need a new one.

What model is it? The OP needs a new board AND better cooling, just because it's under 62C, doesn't mean it won't get errors. The colder the better with AMD, and there are better boards for OC'ing, even if ~3.7Ghz is more then enough.

A good board ? **** troll

I never said the board was bad, just that nforce chipset's usually don't like high FSB's. Watercooling isn't going to change anything to the fact that his mobo can't run the FSB higher ...

Don't want no water in mah case. Also, it can get pretty expensive pretty quickly. This air cooler supposedly performs better than the all-in-one water coolers anyway (Corsair H50, H70).

Isn't IBT the same as LinX? I think they both use linpack.

This board has NVIDIA's nForce 750a SLI chipset. This and the 980a chipset were really my only options if I wanted an officially SLI-capable board with an AMD CPU.
