Isn't the Zalman cpu cooler bad for higher overclocks?

I have mixed feelings for the case. Should be great for airflow tho.

Not at all, at 4.6 Ghz I was getting no hotter than 67-68 degrees on prime95. I think the biggest difference to how effective the Zalman is, is probably the flow of air inside the case. The HAF X has great bottom front to back flow of air, so the Zalman gets cool air easily. I'm happy with it, and its a sexy looking fan through that green glass.

haha, yeah, it always turns out a bright olive green in pictures, but its a much sexier shade of green in person. Where it really shines is at night with no lights, where all you see is the LED lights, the green is gorgeous then. I am very happy with it, though I can definitely see how the size and color can rub some people the wrong was as far as preference goes. I just definitely wanted to deviate from the standard black/blue/red/white cases.

Soo, my fan controller is already giving me problems. The fifth knob wont direct any power until it is either about 90% turned or pushed in, so its essentially useless. That and the second knob won't function at all, and is broken, wont turn like there is something caught in it. I think my problem is I was trying to draw too much power from it.

So I am in the market for a new fan controller. I don't mind spending 50-100 dollars, but really I just want something with knobs and no touchscreen, no bright as hell lights, and can handle a lot of juice. I just want it to be able to control the intensity of my green LED strip(which had about 40 or so LEDs), the fan right in front of my graphics cards(which I turn up when gaming to cool my SLI GTX 460's, and turn down when not gaming/sleeping) and potentially control another fan which I hope to insert into the front to increase the front intake.

Speaking of that, though, does anyone know of any fan brackets that would fit in the front of my HAF X? I ham going to remove the hot-swap bays as I never plan to use them, and install a fan that takes up three of the bays to get more air to the CPU, on top of adding another 200mm fan to the top working as another intake. I just cant really find any bracket thats designed to fit 3 x 5.25" bays to attach a fan.

Other than that, the build is awesome so far, I love it. Its everything I wanted it to be, and now everything I am tinkering with is more or less just for the hell of it. I think my next two investments maybe this summer or fall will be water-cooling and full modular cable sleeving, black, grey and green of course.

Also, anyone know where I could find some plates to cover the PCB on the top of my cards, just to improve aesthetics?

Alright re-did all my wires in preparation for this sleeving project over the next month. The SATA power cable has too much slack but of course I will make it perfectly sized for when I actually do some extension cables...and yes that is electrical tape on my PCI power connectors...DONT JUDGE ME!:

As you can see, took out all the HDD brackets, now I just need to de-rivet and remove the whole piece, and thats where I plan to put one of my rads.

Oh, and meet MC and The Arbiter:

EDIT: also removed my optical drive because it was ugly and useless when I have an external...

I've been long overdue for an update on this build...made a lot of progress over the past couple of months, a lot of changes have occurred so I'll post a couple of pics!

Basically, I added a second 120GB SSD(the hotswap bay for it is on the way from coolermaster), got rid of the hdd bay on the bottom right, finally sleeved my cables, carbon fiber wrapped my panel, and made a plexiglass/carbon fiber panel over the 5.25" bays that has my gametag glowing green, and upgraded my power supply for the sleeving project:

Again, forgive the quality of the photo's, I really need to invest in a good camera and take the time to improve my lighting!
