Happy With 555BE

Thread Starter
Hi Overclockers
First i've gotta Say That I AM IN LOVE
Yeah In Love With My New AMD Phenomâ„¢ II X2 555 BE
That CPU is A BEAST(Compared to my old 7750)
So right after i get it out of the box it was allready runnin 4200mhz
Settings Used:20x210 at 1.440v And the cpu is stable like a rock!
The temps are:52-3 at load, and 30 when idling
NB 2730mhz,HTT 2730mhz

I've gotta say that even at stock speed this cpu i way faster than my old x2 7750 OCED to 3240
And a way cooler tooooo!

So i tried to run it at 4400mhz but my mb wont let me,because the voltage was allready at max
So then i tried 4300mhz at 1.5v,for now its stable, ill post pics and link to cpu-z tomorow because i am so sleepy right now
How do you think guys whats the max freq. that ill get on air maybe with some volt mod for the mb?I am with AC FREEZER 64 PRO
oooo and i upgradet from fortron 300w pnr to fortron blue storm 500 pro,is that psu good?

Guys go get them AMD Phenomâ„¢ II X2 555 they OC like HELL!
The next month i am going to upgrade to am3 + ddr3 so maybe some sudg. about MOBO+RAM?
AND i Want ACC!
And SRY about m bad english

4200Mhz out of the box!?
I don't even--
You should get a new motherboard that could properly support a 4 core unlock (i.e. VRM wise [no cheap 4+1 phase] and feature-wise [SB710 or later])

Fortron PSUs.... ehhhhhh......
I guess the BIOS settings you set for your old CPU were still present after you switched... that's probably why you were at 4.2Ghz. The stock speed is 3.2Ghz.

You know, 4+1 Phase isn't the problem.

When did I say 4+1 was the entire problem?
A quality 4+1 phase would be fine for his needs... I recommend boards like the Biostar TA870U3+ with heatsinked, quality 4+1 very often for even a 125W processor (with overclocks below 1.55V). A cheap (unheatsinked) 4+1..... then it's a very bad idea.

Well i reset the bios and made the setings again,it was a blind shot! And my asus bord is 4+1 unsinked, they are just a little warm after 8 hours of Orthos. The quality of this asus borad is good even at 4300mhz and 1.5v they are still cool.I will post pics later!

The validation
now the goal is to lower the multipl. and increase the fsb and this way to oc the northbrigde further more,as for northbridge i still got +100mv and +150mv settings in the bios that i havent used yet!
