Problem rendering videos.

I'm playing around with fraps and video editing programs (premiere, vegas pro) and I ran into a lil problem, I cannot get crystal clear videos not matter what settings or program I use.

I recorded some footage of me doing stuff on the desktop, I rendered the same video using bunch of different formats (h.264,Windows media) and using maximum render quality but they call come out the same.. they are all smudged up and you can barely read the letters under icons..but the original video is crystal clear..

In fraps I used half size and full size, after rendering a video I noticed a tiny bit of quality improvment (between half size and full size mode), but not a lot.

Idk what I'm doing wrong...

That's odd, I get fine quality on my gameplay videos in 720p. What resolution are you rendering in? Mind posting up a picture of your settings?

If im right i`ll gt a cookie from you!
Oh no im wrong i saw you got a 1:1 pixel ratio
What i always did first use virtual dub to compress it in xvid (doesn`t really matter)
cause the fraps codec is /* enter bad words here */
So with the transcoded footage i never got problems!
Try that and GL!
