VGA cooling questions

Thread Starter
Hi, I was thinking about OCing my GPU, and since I have a Fermi (GTX 470) and I hear they run hot, I thought it would be a good idea to get a VGA cooler. What should I be looking for? On newegg some of the highly rated ones look like this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118001

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118117

I'm not sure if the first one is compatible with the 470 since the 400 series isn't listed.

And an unrelated question- I was looking over all my temps in HWmonitor and I saw this:

What is "AUXTIN" and why is it so hot?

No no no

Neither of those coolers is capable of handling fermi.
You'll need a dual slot mammoth.

And does the aux temp fluctuate?

The coolers you linked are for the ancient Nvidia 7900 series cards.
For your 470, this is the correct Zalman cooler:

You can also try this cooler as it too is compatible with a 470. It's a bit cheaper than the VF3000F on newegg.
http://www.directron.com/gcvga0201.html

Not sure how it compares to the VF3000F though in noise/performance.

[edit] They have it on newegg too for similar price with shipping I guess.
