OK this deserves some rep for sure + added. Thanks for the explanation.

So will I be able to run this PSU OK up to around May/June time then? And after that, should I just go for a X-560W due to its high temperature tolerance?

I forgot to say that I also have the "Pro" version of this PSU calculator, so I decided to do this:

100% CPU Utilization, 90% System Load, 10% Capacitor Aging (it's a bit extreme, but I did it on purpose):





So, it has to be an unstable overclock.

I see. So would getting a better PSU or getting a better cooler be the most effective way to make the OC stable? Because I tried that OC only for a few days, as I found out I don't need to add any extra voltage to run it at 2.6GHz.

The Stealthxstream 400w is a good PSU, so getting a new one won't make much of a noticeable difference. You probably just need to pump more volts to stabilize the OC... watch your temperatures as well.

I would say it's the motherboard because ECS motherboards are known to be junkers. :/ Plus, Micro ATX boards typically aren't as good at overclocking as Standard ATX boards for some reason. However, then it gets worse when there's onboard video (enabled or disabled).

The motherboard is a bit like the CPU and the power supply in that the motherboard plays a very critical role in overclocking.
