i grew tired of it in 2006, due to endless infections from malware and adware...MS didn't do anything to stop it...went to Firefox, my adware and malware infection rate dropped by about 90%, load times were faster, and it used less memory.

my other problem is as a web developer, i dunno how many times i would be doing layout on a site, get it all looking spiffy and good in FF, Chrome, Safari, Opera...only to have to spend another day working on IE hacks...

it was always something with IE, it didn't like this css, or that html tag, or a this entire class in javascript...

i always did find it funny tho, that frontpage and web expressions would always do w3c compliant css and html...only so you would have to go back later to hack and patch for IE

but most animosity towards IE is from the ie 6/7 days...8 was alright, but wasn't anything to go gaga over...9 i like cause it is decently compliant now , so maybe less time hacking for IE and more time making money

I am actually enjoying IE9, much faster for me than any other browser.
Especially websites I visit 10,000 times a day (work) that have an anti dos front-end which tend to hang other browsers for a few seconds.

Installed it and all pages look blury and of a low quality, After 2 or so hours of use, it just seems to destroy my computer, causing crashes, massive lag and issues only fixed by rebooting. Might not sound bad, but having to restart your computer 6 times a day inst fun :l...

That and memory leaks... It was using 3gb of ram while i was browsing Facebook with just that single tab. Chrome ftw.
Massive PEBKAC.

First off, I don't think you know what a memory leak is .

Incredibly biased article. I don't use IE9, but it's bad because it doesn't work for Windows XP?

Shame on Microsoft for not making a browser released in 2011 compatible with an OS that's 10 years old.

I love this one

"For example, these days when attacking Web-plug ins, such as Adobe Flash is every hacker’s favorite new trick, IE 9 doesn’t alert you if you’re not running the latest plug-in"

They used a bad example of saying Flash that auto updates its self. Why didn't just say IE doesn't tell you your Windows isn't full patched or Steam as well.
