Sounds like you're gonna get a lot of studying done.

New tech being regulated by people who have no idea about what they are regulating.
9/10 times it comes down to retired executives pushing this stuff to protect their 7 figure pensions.

I've already started in this direction, except for games. I don't go to the movies, don't have cable TV - I watch free over the air HD TV, haven't rented movies or games for over 10 years and only buy a select few artists CDs and movies that come out.

Biggest reason why? Got sick of wasting my money on crap. Most movies are garbage, TV is useless, most bands are over produced hacks and going to the movies is so uncomfortable. Those seats suck. Why would I spend $20 for me and the woman to watch a movie when I could buy it (for much less later) and watch it on my own projector at home?

The industry has lost it's own business, there's no one else to blame.

They can't do that. Then there would be no need for so many federal agents, prisons, jails, prison guards, gun manufacturers and police. You see the only reason they ENCOURAGE crime is because "It creates Jobs".

This new measure will only make people pirate in new ways that won't use so much bandwidth. So because of piracy, they forget that some businesses and people NEED unlimited bandwidth.

I'm surprise netflix & all those other online streaming/movie/TV show services aren't putting there lobbyists to work. I mean in this country lobbyists & corporations run the country. Not congress or the President.

How much does that kid from Two and a Half Men get paid? $300,000 per episode? Charlie Sheen gets $1.8 million per episode? Yea, blow me Hollywood. You too Washington. I'll download on principality alone and when the cease and desist letter comes I'll mail it back with a big "**** YOU" written on it.

They won't tell you directly, but they allow suburban drug dealers to sell drugs while they target inner city ones. They allow the wall street crooks to screw over the entire world out of billions, but yet they go after the shop lifter.

This won't help anything. This will only make people more cretive to get what they want. Remember the prohibition days, people were selling boo's from there homes sometimes. If government would look into the history book, they will see that it's human nature to get creative when something's trying to stop you from getting what you want.

Looks like a defensive mode after seizing domains of people streaming sports events.
I wonder if those domains are being fought in courts to return them.
