In my opinion, the CM 690 II Advanced has better cable management and thus better airflow. Also, something about the handles on the Storm Scout bothers me. If can you can find the CM 690 II advanced with a window or mod it yourself, it kicks the Storm Scout to the curb. But hey, I'm a fan of windowed cases.

Also, if you haven't already considered them,
The HAF 912 (Advanced if you can, comes with a window, black interior and 200 mm fans instead of the 120 or 140, I forgot, for 100 rather than 60) and the Antec 902 (V3 if you can) are nice and similar. Not looking to piss off any fanboys, just presenting more options. Only reason I chose the Antec 902 was for the looks for the price (I payed 70 for the non V3) but while the cable management is decent, the HAF 912 and the CM 690 II Advanced are better in terms of cable management. I just thought the Antec looked nicer than the 690 II and I couldn't find the HAF 912 Advanced anywhere.

Would there be any reason to get the storm scout over the 690 II Advanced?
How do sizes compare?

Absolutely none, unless you like the style (or need the handle) there is no reason you'd go with the scout. The CM690 II has many improvements over the scout.
