Razer Blackwidow Ultimate just crapped out on me.

Thread Starter
So im setting up my speakers in the back of my pc and when i turn on the pc my blackwidow just stopped working. when i plug the usb in it makes the noise that it identifies a usb device but does not load the drivers and does not work. i tried downloading the drivers of the website again and it did not work either. tested a different keyboard in the same usb port and everything is fine. it is the keyboard itself.

so is there anything i can do to fix it? or do i have to rma?

thanks.

Have you tried it on another computer?

Have you tried UNINSTALLING the drivers? Sometimes Razer drivers are not the best and cause conflicts, you don't necessarily need the driver for the Blackwidow unless you intent to use the macro keys.

If you have tried it on another computer where the drivers have not been installed, then the keyboard is probably dead.

Another stunning success for Razer.

3 keyboards later and different set of keys goes out (xcv) first it was the W. I'm not buying razer keyboards any more, they have the worst track record ever for keyboards.

I've updated the software, loaded the firmware, tested on another pc, and still I plug it into my system and magically they keys don't respond.

People sometimes get lucky with Razor keyboards, and their product works flawlessly. Others really have serious problems with their keyboard either from the onset, or down the road at some point.

This is another example why I can never recommend a Razor keyboard. It's not hate for Razor, it's just a fact that they aren't particularly that good.

Wait for the Ducky Shine to come in a Blue switch and enjoy your new keyboard.
