Netbook w/ W7 x64?

Thread Starter
I recently grabbed an Acer D255E netbook. I stuck a 2GB stick of RAM in it and was wondering if I'd be better off w/ x86 or x64. This windows 7 Starter crap is not cutting it.

I found the W7 home x64 a bit cumbersome on X25V 40GB, 2GB DDR2 & Atom 330, seemed somewhat smoother with the same OS on 32bit. I wouldn't install x64 unless you had more than 2GB of RAM and a Quad, so a netbook doesn't quite cut it.

Yes.

Thanks for the replies. I'll throw Home Premium x86 on and see how it goes.

...W7 Starter is x86 only, so it'd see max 3.5GB. Why would someone that amount of RAM on a W7 Starter build is beyond my imagination
