Download - Pre-Compiled Bootable ISO (.zip)
Unzip ,then burn to disk with Nero ,via saved image preset foro nero.

Run 25 passes for all tests or one complete run then 25 passes for test 5 only and another full one after.

Or run the Memory diagnostic tool from within Windows 7 boot menu.

If you don t want to wait for the passes ,at least 3 hours ,6 hours would be quite ok.
The more hours it takes the better ,as the RAM is tested in all areas and the IMC is stressed continuosly simulating Windows usage (test 5 simulates Windows behaviour the best).

yeah my crash only happens randomly in gaming so i would need to test all areas of mem right. I guess I can leave it over night or something.

I set the GPU's and CPU back to stock clocks and voltages. So everything is back to default. I also re-seated the ram, I reinstalled the ccc 11.2 drivers and used driver sweeper and also defragged my hdd and it still crashed.

I then downloaded the DirectX June Redist. and installed that. I did a 30 minute Memtest86 on all my ram it got to half way through test 6 and I stopped it (i will go over night tonight) It found no errors and window 7 mem test found no errors either. I also uninstalled my Realtek Hd Audio drivers and used driver sweeper on those as well and am using windows defaut sound drivers. Sounds like "S" coming from 5.1 surround but got to try stuff. I also set my GPU's back to OC'd settings.

I played like that for 1 hour with no crash or any signs of crashing. This thing is full of false hope so i'm not getting my hopes up but thats where i'm at. The next thing other then running like an 8 hour mem test tonight is to restore to when i first installed my crossfire config and if no go i will reinstall windows unless anyone else can think of anything.

It seems that the overclocking is not stable at first glance.

Either you don t have luck ,either there is some wrong setting over there.

If you check the system with overclocking do the things one by one and see which overclock triggers the problem.

If the overclocking doesn t bring real benefits , as in big increase in framerates , you can let it on defaults.
I m sure you prefer stability over speed while playing a FPS BSOD-s at every half an hour is not fun.

Well i posted above that i left everything at stock(default) clocks and voltages and it still crashed. So i'm guessing the overclocks are okay. They worked great for 2 or 3 weeks as well while gaming and everyday use before I added crossfire and 4 more gigs or ram. So where in between it started going goofy. I also tried some different overclocks in that time period which only envolved me trying to go to 4ghz and it BSOD on me and I just went back to 3.9 then 3.8 and 3.7 but settle at 3.8ghz. The overclocks are actually getting me 6-10fps in most games over stock so thats nice. Anyway would an overclock failure have jacked up some hardware. I mean being able to game sometimes for an hour or 2 without fail is throwing me. Also It never BSOD on me it does this exactly except the video freezes and shows a still frame with the same sound and behavior.

well again no crash last night. I played for i would say a total of about 1 hour. I played 20 minutes then had dinner. Then i played for around 40 minutes after. No crash but I did have one big 2 second or so hang will still video and audio on NFSS without that nasty buzz but it came back and all was okay. Could be related or could have just been and glitch. Idk. I tested the ram last night for 10 hours. It completed 3 full passes and no errors. I was told to do 25 passes and that is crazy as it only completed 3 in 10 hours. So i'm calling the ram good.

Right now my GPU's are still overclocked and my cpu is running stock. I'm going to keep playing until it crashes. If it doesn't crash at all today. Then I'm going to set my CPU overclock back to 3.6ghz and go from there. So the only things i've done this far that it hasn't crashed on are uninstalling the realtek hd audio and installing the DirectX redist (june 2010) and last night I changed out my 4pin ATX12V to the 8pin ESP12v connector on my mobo.

crashed again and got pissed and re-installed windows. Keeping everything very clean and tidey. Kinda nice to start over. Anyways will let you know if this fixes it or if I have to RMA something. lol

well even after a re-install of windows it hang hard 3 times within 1 minute of playing NFSS. Then crashed in the same fashion. So does that mean sometime hardware?. I see a bios revision is availible for my mobo it says it improves system stability. I'm going to try it. Can't really hurt right. Then I'm going to try using only the new GPU without crossfire and see if it does it. If I does then I will use my older GPU and see if it will do it again maybe that way I can figure out if it's the graphics card. Could this be a CPU thing? it could be a motherboard thing for sure though huh?

I was thinking as well that this rules out punkbuster as well because I didn't even have it installed on my machine.

edit: I updated bios and will see what happens.
