So the animation won't really match up, unless they want to make prone movement in short strides as you crawl your way along, which I think would be just annoying and going too much for realism.
They should follow in the similar fashion that Arma II and Operation Arrowhead implemented Prone Movements. That is by far one of the best simulations of a prone movement that I have encountered from any video game.

So apparently everyone on the internet knows how to make video games better then video game developers.

What a strange world we live in ...............

Watched the second video, and physics need a revamp. I mean I like the fact that when they step on gravel, you see chunks of rock but I would like if it didn't just go below the ground. Same with when the flower pot broke....

Looked at some YouTube videos, and that was what I meant by the "short strides" as you crawl along, moving about a foot as you push yourself along the ground, then pausing to push yourself the next food along. I think that's just annoying, I don't really like it. I mean it's nothing major and definitely not a deal breaker or anything, but I would be just kind of annoyed by going that far for realism.

I think his point was that earthquakes don't appear the moment he fires a rocket, thereby combining with the force of the rocket itself to tremble the whole building and cause more damage than the AT4 rocket alone would have.

I don't think that would be because of physics (the fact that they go below the ground, I mean). That's just their way of getting rid of that debris. As mentioned earlier, if that debris stayed on the screen indefinitely then that would require a TON of processing power and would burden the hardware a lot having to process all that debris, considering all that would be made by every grenade and rocket that's near anything at all and considering the destructive capabilities of the engine. There would be so many fragments to calculate so much for.

Well then that's like saying: "Earthquakes don't just happen while everyone in the country is sleeping. That's just awkward." What natural force makes it impossible for an earthquake to it just as someone fires off a rocket? (Or a fart, for a metaphor). It's also called dramatization. Maybe an earthquake INTENTIONALLY goes off in the video for appeal?

I'm not saying there was an earthquake in the video (I don't think there was) but if the setting actually is Iraq or some other middle eastern country, their building quality is probably not amazing. If an airplane brought down the 100+ story WTC (> moment of respect for those lost <) I don't see why it's so hard to believe that an explosive rocket shattered a few windows with a shockwave and broke down a ~decade old sign that was probably held to the building with 3 or 4 supports to the concrete.

My brother went to Iraq. Many of the insurgents (Not all, but a lot) have horrible training and some don't even know how to properly operate their weapons.

What makes them so deadly is the fact that they're so numerous and they often have the element of surprise with ambushes and various explosive traps such as their IEDs laying around everywhere.

Yeah, obviously they can, and maybe one did. I don't think so either though. I think he was just saying it's unlikely and ridiculous if one did.

Agreed. And even if it was exaggerated, so what? It wasn't THAT terribly exaggerated, and it's a video game. I want to see cool effects.

You expect the sniper to pop the all off and walk away chuckling? Yes that will happen but in multiplayer not in singleplayer. Singleplayer is designed to give you false confidence as you mow down entire armies with very limited assistance (or the need for assistance).

The great lighting is exposing how low res the textures are. I hope they're fixed in the final. I kind of doubt it though. Tons of low res textures in Crysis 2 as well.
