Best Power Supply for my setup

I might be upgrading from a 9800gt to a 5850 or gtx 260 core 216 and from a q6600 to a q9550 at the same time. Which power supply would be the best for my setup? I want the best brand smile.gif

You could run three or maybe four GTX260s or HD5850s on your current power supply.

And why are you even considering the GTX260? The card is several years old now and significantly slower than the HD5850, being between the HD5750 and HD5770 in performance. In fact, why aren't you looking at HD6000 and GTX500 series cards?

Oh sorry, I forgot to say that I already sold that HX850W because it is too much of an overkill for my system. I was told a few months ago that the Seasonic-X series are way better than Corsairs? Does that still hold on these days?

Sorry, I'm not updated with video cards nowadays but yeah I think that the video cards I stated were kind of old. What's the best bang-for-the buck video card anyway? I will also ask this on the video card section.

You could get a solid 500-600w PSU like a Seasonic S12II 520w or 560KM or even a Corsair 600CX. If you think you will upgrade or add an additional card the Corsair HX650 would do nicely as well.

I don't thin the HX850W is Seasonic inside? I thought the HX650 and HX750 had Seasonic though I'm not really sure.

AX1200 is OVER overkill! Not very efficient to use that.

Yeah, his now sold HX isn't a Seasonic (it's CWT), but it's not a bad PSU by any means. The AX750/850 are based off the Seasonic X platform though.

LOL! on this

He's not building a tri sli setup so I don't think his rig needed this kind of power.
