I'd buy a AMD x4 + mb + memory instead of paying for mb + ram at the old tech prices. If you have the mb + memory or can get them cheap then its a good choice.

When talking about old tech I don't see how its far fetched I thought Pentium2


Also the A64 was a single core and faster than the P4's

The original x2 was to compete with the Pentium D's and the x2 was much faster

When conroe came out it destoryed the x2's. Only newer gens can compete with core 2 duos

alrite i have put my corsair 750w psu the board beeps with no ram but i put ram in no post maybe i need registerd ram? i tried it with 2 sticks of unregisterd 256 mb ddr400 sticks any help is great thanks
