I doubt that there will be dx11 support and if it was, it will be a patch which probably does 0 difference to the visuals.

This is a forum were people express there opinion, just like you are free to do also. Whether you agree or disagree, everyone has the right here on OCN to leave a comment on how they feel about a product within the TOS. Cheering and complaining is what makes the forums interesting. You don't want a forum full of fanboys cheering, you have to mix in the hate also.

No, I'm not saying people cannot express their opinions...I'm all for that. But, even you have to admit, it gets carried away sometimes. I'm just basically saying, there will always be complaining and nit-picking. Nothing is perfect, nor will be perfect. I'm gonna wait for reviews first on the game, but if it is good, I will buy it whether or not it says "press start to continue". I guess I just don't let the little things bother me. Little things like that have absolutely no impact on the gameplay at all.

There is a big difference betrween expressing your opinion, and out write trolling or flaming. What I meant is all those people who come to a Crysis 2 forum just to tell us that they think its **** and they are not gonna buy it. That helps nobody and it does not make anything interesting.

If your going to critique something then do it with maturity, and respect. If your gonna just put a game down on everything and just constantly ***** then go make your own damn game and lets see how good it turns out?

Im all for a debate on a product but not a cry and ***** fest. If you gonna come with some complaints then make them valid and respectfull, dont abuse the forum just to say this game sucks no matter what you say, troll troll troll...

OK, just clearing that up. People are complaining about nonsense and expressing it in the wrong way. We'll see when the game actually launches if it will be the PC dedicated build everyone is hoping for. The press Start stuff etc. I'm not concerned about, it's the lack of news on the SP PC build I'm concerned about. They said an announcement is coming soon about the PC version but they haven't said anything and its less than a week before launch. Crysis MP runs great but I'm not buying it for that reason, never was interested in MP that is loaded with options that could help people compete. Crytek is turning off the aim assist, but we could do without the kill streaks, holograms etc. The suit should be enough to dominate your opponents.

I want the news on the singleplayer campaign before I make my final decision on C2.
$60 is premium pricing for a PC game, so I expect premium features.

Ya I am getting sick of the crap too.

If your not going to buy it good for you but shut up. There are too many people every time a Crysis 2 thread comes up I wont buy it, port, no DX11. Give it up.

Look at steam system stats, 5% are DX 11. Sorry not everyone of us here was sucked into the hype about soft shadows. This is the best looking game so far that may support DX11. Why not be happy that it looks good as is and that it might blow your mind with DX11. Just because Crytek didnt cater to the 5% people are mad.

Maybe Crytek wanted to able to make money this time instead of have the 2% of systems in the world be able to run there game on low. I had a hot rod system when Crysis came out and it would barly run smooth on low that was the joke about it. My friends and I would walk by and go oh theres the game noone can run! Shoot my friend in the Navy was using a supercomputer to play it.

The game isnt even out yet and people are railing ranting and throwing a fit. Ya no duh its a game not a benchmark. All the first Crysis was, is a benchmark it wasnt a very good game. Shoot Crytek was started to do tech demos for Nvidia GPUs not games!

Remember this site is full of enthusiasts! Our systems crush and I mean crush the majority of computers in the world! Most people still have a P4 or AMD FX and think its great! We cant wait for BD or Ivy bridge.

Lets give it a chance to come out and see what Crytek says before everyone just rips on it cause they played a ported demo.

sorry to all the people complaining about complaining but...... This time I'm gonna go ahead and complain.

The people supporting crysis 2 are on the stance that "not everyhting can be perfect", "It couldn't have lived up to the 1st one", etc... But the issues with crysis 2 are not small. The game seriously looks just the same or even worse than the 1st one. Just take a good long look at the foliage or the water, you'll get it, and no, bloom doesn't look good. I just cannot understand why I should put 60€ for a title that doesn't even improve upon the first one. It's freaking 4 years later I think they could have given us better graphics than c1? Also going backwards in graphics options or actually going backwards on just about anything is unacceptable, especially if it's done on multiple aspects of the game.

Another thing is the multiplayer. I guess this is a matter of opinion, but Crysis 2 is a CoD wannabe, it just is. At least in crysis 1 we had different kinds of maps, modes etc. Now we have a run'n'gun game that has worse gameplay than CoD and uses horrible amounts of motion blur to make the game seem better looking. Also they gimped the suit.

And then there are the small things. Yes I know complaining about one small thing would be nitpicking but together they add up. I mean they were seriously gonna ship it with "press start to begin"? they have a xbox controller on options and a TV brightness adjust thing. I'm glad the aim assist is out tho.

Then there is of course the fact that Crytek have not said anything about the PC version. They could atleast confirm that they have DX11, or when the patch is gonna be out. They could also confirm some advanced options. All we need is an honest statement about a few facts. I'm going to buy your game if you give me the stuff I want, if not then there's no need to try to keep the suckiness a secret.

Please I want to buy Crysis 2, and I want it to be a game that I can play and have fun with. I want nice graphics and customizable option and all that. The first one had those, I don't think they're too much to ask.

thanks.

@worldexclusive agreed 60 bucks is some cash and I am expecting to atleast be mildly awed by SP thats why im buying it is for SP and MP is just a bonus if I enjoy it. Lack of news is disturbing it. The demo MP was a quick console port because all of the PC gamers got all whiny that there is no PC demo.

@3DFX I agree that crysis 1 was a benchmarking for sure hence the term "ya but can it run crysis" I heard for so many years. But I wouldn't say the game play was not a very good game I thought it was great story line. I mean come on North Korea enemy transitions to alien enemy's. Epic. They said they are setting the bar again well lets hope SP will set the bar. Mp meh wont matter to me.

This video gives rendering comparison between systems. Every thing we have seen so far has been from a console. They have a heck of a name to live up too so they are playing it smart and getting people to think there is nothing more than to what we have seen in the demo so far then come release are hopes wont be so high, then they can rip out a bad ass SP and again suprise us. My theory atleast.

Each part except last is console.

Im not saying the SP was bad just not great at least to me.

One of the big give aways that its was a ported demo was if you shot out a window it was pathetic.
