No longer --- it now has the same type of stripped-down look that Chrome originated, and that the latest version of Firefox uses as well.

The bottom line

If you've stopped using Internet Explorer because of speed problems or a tired-looking interface, you should give IE9 a try (assuming you use Windows 7 or Vista, of course). You'll be surprised by its dramatic speed improvements and slicker interface. Improved adherence to Web standards is a plus as well, as are new features such as a double-duty address bar and the Performance Advisor. Existing IE users will want to upgrade right away -- it's hard to argue against a faster, cleaner-looking browser with a host of other nice extras.

It's a 4 page read that may give you a 2nd thought about MS IE9...

I liked it, though I thought it left too many bad things about the browser out... I'm personally finding a host of annoying annoyances about the browser, but those are personal opinions of course..

^^ GFT

When I used the BETA and also the Release Candidate, I noticed these, and it got worse the more I used IE9. It seems as though reliability and performance degrade over time......

I will try this out though .

i can't play GTA IV if i have ie9 installed.

but i must say it is noticeably better then firefox, ignoring all of ff's add-ons.
nevertheless, i will continue to use chrome because i have fallen in love with it's UI and extensions

Isn't SunSpider designed for bechmarking IE9? And not the other browsers? Or is that some other benchmarking software I'm thinking of...

Never changing from chrome unless another browser comes along that is faster, and has built in flash.
