I saw this earlier today and was wondering about it as well. Seems deceptively cheap for a 23" IPS....

Wow it's cheap for an IPS monitor right? I might pull the trigger in 2 days because i'm not happy with my newly bought Asus VH238H.

Interesting, that and the ML249H were just launched today. So far this is the only data on them, no reviews:
Quote:
The 24-inch ML249H has a VA panel with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 8 ms (g2g) response time. The 23-inch ML239H has an IPS panel with 1000:1 contrast ratio and 5 ms (g2g) response time. Both come with 1920x1080 resolution, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles and 72 % color gamut.

Based on price, I'm going to assume the ML249H has an S-PVA panel, and the ML239H has an e-IPS panel. I could be wrong about the *VA panel but it seems reasonable.

I would go with the 24" but it has 8ms response time which seems to be a little bit slow? I also read up and it seems the VA panel generally slower than TN and IPS right? I'll definitely return my VH238H in 2 days after my CC cycle for this month and buy the 23" IPS.

Im really considering buying the one at newegg but I get charged nearly 10% sales tax in TN plus they tack on the shipping charge too. No other retailers are selling these LED IPS monitors...

8ms is by no means slow, and actually isn't too good a reference since it's gray to gray and not white-black-white, which is a much better indication of actual refresh speed potential. Input lag is also somewhat important, and in the case of the IPS model, should be quite low.

So for general gaming which one would you suggest Chunky_Chimp? Does S-PVA panel produce as good PQ as the E-IPS? I play SC2/Wow/ and some FPS.
