Which video card for 3 monitors? - Page 3

If he's only gaming on the center one, what's the point? AMD cards were made for multidisplay gaming. Introduce him to eyefinity for us please. If you get the 5770, it might be a bit weak. Upgrade to cross or tri fire.

If your getting the AMD 5770 free than that's your answer. No brainier, wouldn't pay more than $75 on a used one though.

If your thinking of buying an AMD 5770 for $130, I'd pony up $30 more and get an AMD 6850 instead to run the three monitors. Better card all around.

AMD runs three monitors easily. Nvidia can run three monitors if you buy any two cards in SLI or you'd need to buy a $440 card called the GTX 460 2Win and that's a lot more power than he actually needs for a lot more money. In your fathers case not worth it.

Go AMD 6850 if you have a choice, again if it's a great deal then the AMD 5770 will do, unless he's playing intensive games. Would be fine for WOW.
