GTX 570 Price drop soon? - Page 2

Eh, I was thinking of this post

lsdmeasap killed his at stock volts and stock frequencies
Which can definitely be untrue, I don't mean to spread misinformation that just stuck in my mind that people have had cards die at stock volts.

Also I found a couple of people whose cards died at 1.05v... just be careful.

hmmm, is that about the norm as time frames go? i'm not waiting that longer to pickup my card

Check that thread out before you buy
thxs, i've read abit about the this, even read that the thread existed but i hadn't found it yet.

i had been thinking 560, then justed figured just go ahead and do the 570. with either i had planned to see how well it performed then SLI it if i desired later.

Since its already SC version that i was after i was planning to just drop it into the system, figuring OCing future wouldnt be needed.

i've not found any new info stating whether this problem has been lessened with later batches or not?

As an example: I wanted to get the 2600K, but wanted to get the best reasonable price possible. The best price I could find was $279 at MicroCenter vs. $329 at Newegg. Dilema was I no not have a MicroCenter close enough. But I do have a Fry's and they are really pushing their "Price Match" right now. So I printed the MicroCenter price, took it to Fry's and a little while ago I walked out with my 2600K for $279 (I think it was $314 or so there), plus tax.

If in a month places start selling the 2600K for much less, I will still be happy with my purchase. And I do not see my CPU, or the GPU you mention drastically being lowered anytime soon.
yep, i'm a price hunter, but after i make my purchase i'm gtg, regardless if the price drops afterwards, unless its within a week or so, at which point i'd just contact the seller and usually they make a price adjustment.

I got my 2600k off the egg, with thier promo i paid just a tad more than you i believe, no tax or shipping fee. Being as travling is a bit difficult for me i did good

EDit: oh and ty folks for pointing out that OCP thing /bow

Don't get me wrong, I love the egg! That's where I got my RAM (in my sig) for only $54.
