[Dailytech] Researcher Invents Better Laser Diode Could Dramatically Improve Hardware

After studying the topic for 21 years, Dr. Deppe has invented a new miniature diode that not only emits more intense light than current used electronics lasers, but does so at a single wavelength. By shrinking the size and removing impurities, the effects that cause failures also eliminated, opening the door to high power/high frequency/ultra-high data speed operations.

The sole remaining obstacle in the way of commercialization of the discovery is the operational voltage required, which needs to be lowered in order to make them a drop-in replacement for current electronics.
