POST= Power On Self Test, which is when the beep codes will sound. There are literally hundereds of reasons why a pc dosn't make post. I'm not even sure if you're serious.
I agree with that. I've been looking more closely at everything that is happening. The light for the CPU test comes on first. Stays RED for the briefest of seconds, then goes out. Then the red light for the RAM comes on and stays on. Obviously, my issue is with the RAM.
I pulled out both DIMMS and installed only one in the 2A slot like the manual says. No change. Then used the other and still no change. I keep hitting the Memory OK button and I get the same sequence of flashing. Even after rebooting. The memory I have is not in ASUS's list of supported memory. I went with it because on Newgg, it said it was designed for P67's. Its G. Skill with an 8 latency and 1.5V. It wasn't cheap either. I will stop by Microcenter on the way home from work tomorrow and pick up something that is on the supported list from ASUS.
That has to be the issue...
