omg i cant decide! they are both such good phones!
imo sense is overrated, I liked it for the first six months but then I got sick of it, just everything about it started to bug me. Switched to a CM7 derivative and put launcher pro on it, couldn't be happier. Although HTC's phones are brilliant, sense shouldn't be a deciding factor...

do you think my israeli bazaar bargaining skillz will work there?
ive been able to drop the price by 50% there lol.
Honestly, dual cores are overrated, my HTC desire has more than enough speed for daily tasks at stock.

I wish lol, you do know their probably still making ~200% profit on everything anyway

You must understand that even if your phone is 4G, most of the network isn't. So a 4G phone, at least for another year, will make no difference.

As for which phone to get, the Captivate is really badass. I just got one myself and couldn't be happier. Speeds are awesome, battery life is excellent, easy to use and 7 desktops. Call quality is excellent, it even has a noise filter so in noisy environments, you can have a conversation. The touch screen work very well and even the virtual KB you can type really fast on.

While sure the iPhone 4 is 4G, it's still slower than the Captivate. And about the only feature that it has that the captivate doesn't, a camera that faces you.

If you go from a flip phone to a captivate, you'll be blown away. I guarantee it.

check out this comparison.

ive also heard that 4G speeds isnt as fast as true 4G. its more like 3.5G lol.

now its captivate vs inspire!
captivate may win if i have to pay too much money on the inspire.

I wouldnt worry about 4G. AT&T disabled the upload half of 4G, and the download half is pathetic. By the time their 4G is any good, it will be LTE, and no phone you buy now will be compatible.

If you're buying on a two year contract, dual core is not over rated. There will be plenty of advantages well within that time frame.

The iPhone is not 4G. It's 4th Gen, and many people get that confused with 4G speeds.

Of course this depends on how much money you have to spend(the price difference from what I've seen is rather large), I see no point to them yet if you're just using it as a phone, texting, a bit of browsing and the occasional game. Other people probably have different needs to be though so yeah, if you consider it a necessity then go for it.

I just checked. The atrix is like $50 more expensive than the captivate. In fact, most high end phones seem to be between $520 and $570, mostly above $550. The Atrix is $600. Not a quite large difference I think. This was at amazon wireless.
