Audio Equipment assistance

Im looking for a quality 2.1 Channel Speaker Set and a decent Sound Card for less than $200 total.
I dont mean amazing, I mean quality.
Im upgrading from a Logitech Z313 kit and onboard right now.
So pretty much anything will be an improvement.
They will be used for Music and Movies mostly with some gaming on the side.

Ive had the Swan M10 speaker set recommended but im still looking for other options and I still need a solid Sound Card to power whatever speakers I choose.

there's always the ProMedia's 2.1 for about the same price as the Swan M10's, i have these and they are amazing for the price, others to consider are the AV30/40 and some of the Altec Lansing speakers.

if you listen to music more then watch movies and game, an external DAC is always the best way to go for the best audio quality, although i cant really recommend any without going over your budget.

THANK YOU!
Ill look into a 2.1 Channel Klipsch Pro Media set.
Are the AV30s you are talking about made by Kipsch or M-Audio?
My use is about about 60% Music and 40% Games/Movies so I figure a card will be fine.

Im tempted to just buy an ASUS Xonar for ~$40 from newegg and the Swans or Pro Media set and call it done as im not getting much in the way of help.

The Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 set is good. I would say go for the Swan M10's or get the NHT Superzero 2.0 (yeah, no sub but great when with an amp).

No. Horrible Horrible brand for everything. (there is always an exception but I have yet to find it for them)
If you are looking for something THAT cheap I would recommend something from Altec Lansing or Creative Labs. Its pretty much impossible to find good sound when you are in that price bracket. You need at LEAST $50 to get speakers even worth buying, and as the above discussion makes clear $150 is pretty much the minimum for decent 2.1 Channel setup.
