Realtek Audio out thru 2 streams?

Hi I have an old soundblaster audigy2 but I want to use the onboard Realtek HD AUDIO with its software. I want the Spdif Optical out to go to my AV amp, but I also want an analogue out to my small pc speakers. I cant get the Realtek audio software to play out of two streams at once, been in the settings for ages trouble is when u set something as the default output the other sockets dont play.

Any ideas how to get around this please?

My SB Card does it no prob just plug the leads in and away I go, just the sound is not as good as the onboard HD. Thanks

Hey there.

I ran into this same issue on my wife's box. I looked high and low, and was never able to find a solution. I ended up running two analog streams instead. Sucks, I know.. but at least we got tunes piped where we wanted them. If you get someone that comes up with a solution, I'd sure be interested to hear how too!

Thanks, seems strange that the onboard cant do this rather simple thing doesnt it? When an oldish soundcard does it no problem, puts me off upgrading the SC as Id want to be sure it can do this before I bought one. I dont really want to send an analogue signal 7 meters to my amp.

Maybe I will look at using the two hdmi outputs from GPU one to amp and then from the monitor sound out port to the PC speakers, cant see any ATI sound software though for that option..and its probably not 192Khz grrrrr
