Indeed. Mind you, this is only a temporary computer until about September when I can afford FREAKING BULLDOZER.

The x2 555BE has a 50% chance of unlocking to a quad core x4 555BE.... If you get the one I recommended and you decide to go with BD, you can always use the 6850 or 6950 w/ the BD build.

For $550 you can build a serious PC for everything. This build will be able to handle anything you throw at it:

Asus DVD+RW Writer: $18

Rosewill Blackbone Black Case: $45

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB: $40

AsRock M3A770DE AM3 motherboard: $60

Sapphire Radeon HD 6850: $175

Xigmatek NRP-PC402 400W PSU: $35

TEAM Xtreem Dark 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM: $45

AMD Phenom II X4 820: $100

Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Cooler: $20

With this you'll be able to run most games in very high settings with AA and to do video editing and rendering. The motherboard is one of the few good budget boards, the PSU is pretty much the king when it comes to power delivery at a low cost. The RAM is a great brand and runs at a healthy 1600MHz. The CPU is a real Phenom II (that is, based on Deneb and having L3 cache unlike the 840) and the cooler will allow you to over-clock it a good amount (3.6GHz should be easy to achieve). The HDD is the newest Caviar Blue, a very reliable drive. The case is easily the best under $50, too.

GLORIOUS!

I think I found my set up. Anyone notice any changes I should make that would make this system better or give me more bang for my buck?

Also, I know I am missing a HDD. I have a spare 600-something GB laying around somewhere.
