OC-ing?

Thread Starter
OK, I am totally new from OC-ing.
Here I am with the following spec:
Mobo: Gigabyte EP45_UD3P
CPU: Core 2 Extreme QX6850
Mem: 4G DDR2 Corsair Gaming
Video: GTS250
I have been reading about OC-ing but still lost in a way. Can anyone suggest any setting so I can use it for now until I can fine tune it to better? I'd like to have it between 3.6Ghz and 4.0Ghz if possible. Thx all...
By the way in which section should I post about OC-ing?

This is fine and in reguard to Ocing it is done if allowed through your bios. Enter the bios and search for Your cpu settings. ex) Vcore/multiplier settings. To reach a minimal stable overclock on air cooling raise the multiplier .50-1.00 at a time until you reach the desired OC. Try to stay inside your cpu's max temp under load.
