And deal with less than optimal 4 card SLI scaling? Assuming the cards do come out with uncut GF110 cores.

Its not like quad-cards scale great as well.
For gaming, the max you will be trully use, is 3 cards.

All 4-GPU scaling has issues in games, both at AMD side and NVIDIA side.

580 HydroCoppers FTW
I got some of the first ones out, serial numbers 4, 5 and 6 off the line and love them.
They are fast, slim and beautiful. I have mine at stock voltages at a 920/2100 overclocks 24/7.
Only thing that is moving these off to my wifes computer is the new 3Gb 580s coming from evga at beginning of April, hopefully they have an HC2 option too.

You could save yourself ~$70 and go with one of these. It comes with an 800 MHz stock clock, but it's not like that'll take long to rectify. Plus, the Watercool block is at least 12.5x as sexy as the goofy EVGA branded block with its glowing logo. Or maybe I'm unusual in that I don't like garish branding.

One thing though: It's my understanding that large diameter compression fittings don't fit next to one another on the Watercool block. Barbs are fine and pretty much any compression smaller than the 3/4 OD fittings are also probably fine.
