And for the most part I agree with you. However I did indicate I had already placed my order. So it's pretty crappy someone telling you how bad your build is after dropping a **** load of cash. I'd rather someone tell me the performance benefits of going a different build. Because then I would probably rather quickly realize my mistake and berate myself, rather someone else calling me out.

Make sense?
Ahhh too bad you just bought that motherboard. I have one sitting here from ASUS that I'm trying to sell for significantly less money than purchasing it new

Either way, it should be neat. I've had a few single slot MSI 450's and I was getting about 9,000 ppd on them and temps weren't bad. I didn't overclock them at all, though.

Oh man. A used one too? I would seriously consider sending the order back but shipping costs to Hawaii are painful. Newegg doesn't do free shipping to Hawaii.

Good to hear about the MSI 450s. I will definitely OC them as my case should have pretty awesome airflow. I wouldn't mind getting 10,000 PPD per.

I also have no idea how all these graphics cards are going to impact the CPUs ability to fold. I hope I can still do BigADV.

I've never used Ubunto before so if it only ends up a +5% performance boost for a 1000% much harder setup I'd rather not.
I would definitely recommend using Ubuntu. Actually Lubuntu might be better because it is a lot lighter on the resources. It isn't hard to set up F@H, just requires some terminal commands. You have the OCN linux forum to help you in the right direction.

If he was just CPU folding linux would be the best, but GPU folding under linux would kill any chance of CPU folding at the same time.

I will start with Windows 7 BigADV and 5x GPUs, (3x 450, 8800 GT, 8800 GTS) and will tinker if results aren't up to par.

Although I may move one of the GTS 450 to my main rig that is currently folding for PhysX support when I'm gaming.

Oh great. I saw the post earlier on the EVGA forums but wasn't entirely sure it was still supported. This should make things a lot simpler.

Thank you. If I had waited he might have yelled at me for not waiting for the Ivy. Can't win.

There is always something around the corner.
